2023 Trend #8 EV Charging Station
As more people switch to electric vehicles, EV stations become essential. Just over half of passenger cars sold in the U.S. will be electric vehicles by 2030, according to Bloomberg
More and more multifamily buildings are constructed with an EV charging station. New home builders are constantly being asked about installing an EV charging station in the garage.
Electric vehicle accommodations and the younger generation are influencing community amenities as well. Developers are devoting less square footage to amenities since younger generations are less inclined to pay for features they may not use. What most still want are lounges, co-working spaces and outdoor areas to exercise and unwind. Pet parks and spas still make the list as well.
Charlotte-area startup aims to open electric vehicle fast-charging stations across N.C.
Constantineau says they aim to have at least 15 stations set up in the Charlotte area by the end of 2023. They will be placed near popular spots such as Ayrsley off I-485 and South Tryon Street. The future site will look similar to a gas station with 12 pumps, three chargers with four parts each, all under a 50-watt solar canopy.
