NC Mountains team building and waterfall hike

2022-02-11T05:05:42-05:00November 30th, 2021|

Recently I was reminded of one of our company retreats which was both exhilarating and challenging.

The whole team looks forward to these retreats and other activities that take place out of the office and not focused on work—at least not entirely.  They give us a chance to hit the refresh button.

On this retreat, we went to the NC Mountains for a little team building and waterfall hike.  One of the team building challenges was to build a cube structure with PVC pipe.  Each person in the team had to go through the cube, but the route could not be repeated by another team member.

Here’s the first attempt. Good idea but the big cube just wasn’t secure enough. The second attempt worked like a charm.  With the entry points labeled, a road map for each person to take and a chair to assist in some of the bigger and higher routes, WE DID IT.  CHALLENGE ACCEPTED AND COMPLETED.

The next day, we hiked to a nearby waterfall.  Over fallen trees, rocks and streams we went until we reached the waterfall. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a blast repelling down the fall and swimming in the pool of water at the base.

We are all looking forward to our next adventure together.

We’re ready to do it again!
